One of head coach Kalen DeBoer's first major additions to the Alabama roster this summer was cornerback Domani Jackson via the transfer portal. Landing the former five-star USC commit was a huge win for DeBoer and his staff, and it's paying off so far this season.

According to PFF, Jackson has allowed just one catch for seven yards on 89 coverage snaps this season, limiting opposing passers to a paltry 39.6 passer rating. He's seen seven targets and allowed just one catch to be completed.

With Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry headed to the NFL and Caleb Downs headed to Ohio State via the transfer portal, the Crimson Tide had huge shoes to fill in the defensive backfield. Jackson has been a critical piece of a defense that has allowed just 115.7 passing yards per game, which ranks fifth in the country.

This week, Alabama faces a dangerous Georgia passing game with wide receivers Dominic Lovett, Arian Smith, and Dillon Bell capable of making plays all over the field. Jackson will need to be at his best on Saturday to contain Carson Beck and the Bulldogs' aerial assault, and if his early-season metrics are any indication, he should be up to the challenge.
