Blockbuster Trade Proposal Sees Titans Replace Will Levis With Former No. 1 Pick

The Tennessee Titans have struggled early this season with 2023 second-round pick Will Levis behind center. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox argued that Tennessee's solution could be to acquire a different struggling signal caller from the same draft class.

Knox named the Titans a potential suitor for Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young.

"The Titans could also be interested in the 23-year-old as a long-term QB play if second-year man Will Levis continues to struggle," wrote Knox .

Knox noted that ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Sept. 21 that the Panthers have declined to make Young available in any trade negotiations over the past week. Carolina benched Young after the team started 0-2.

But Knox wasn't convinced that will remain the case for the rest of 2024.

"The Panthers aren't looking to trade Young, but a change of direction could still be better for both team and player," wrote Knox .

"If the Panthers return to losing and like the potential of a 2025 QB prospect such as Shedeur Sanders or Carson Beck—and the right offer comes along—they might change their stance."

Young completed just 55.4% of his passes for an average of 4.4 yards per attempt in the first two games this season. He also threw 3 interceptions and took 6 sacks.

With Young behind center, the Panthers scored just 13 points combined in the first two weeks. Carolina tallied 36 points against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3 with Andy Dalton at quarterback.

But Levis has struggled in his own right, throwing 5 interceptions versus only 4 touchdowns this season. He's also averaged 6.2 yards per attempt and leads the NFL with 101 yards lost on 15 sacks.

The Titans drafted Levis with the second pick of the second round at No. 33 overall in the 2023 NFL draft. In the same class, the Panthers traded up to draft Young at No. 1.
