Justin Fields Throws Shade at Bears With 3-Word Statement

A change of scenery has done wonders for Justin Fields, who is off to a 3-0 start after a rough three-year run with the Chicago Bears.

Fields was the Bears' 11th overall pick in 2011 but never found his footing in Chicago. He went 10-28 as the starter, passing for 6,674 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions. On the ground, he added 2,220 yards and 14 more scores.

Statistically, he hasn't exploded in Pittsburgh, but he's found a way to help the Steelers win games. A big part of that has been the coaching he's received from one of the most veteran skippers in the NFL — Mike Tomlin.

On a recent episode of Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward’s Not Just Football podcast , Fields was faced with the choice of picking between the coaches from his current team and his former one. He didn't hesitate with his choice.

"Pittsburgh," Fields quickly replies before adding, "it's not close."

Fields spent a year under Matt Nagy in Chicago before current Bears coach Matt Eberflus took over. The Bears traded Fields to the Steelers this offseason for a sixth-round pick after drafting Caleb Williams No. 1 overall. Despite parting ways, Fields and Eberflus seemed to end on good terms.

"Obviously a very difficult decision we had to make," Eberflus said in March . "But we thought it was the right decision for everybody involved. Justin and I built a relationship over the last two years. I just wished him the best and told him that I loved him. We'll continue our friendship. If he ever wants to call or visit, we'll definitely do that."

Fields is hanging on to the starting gig with the Steelers for now but veteran Russell Wilson is getting healthy. Wilson was named the starter prior to the season before an injury setback.
