Philadelphia Flyers goalie prospect Alexei Kolosov has made a surprising return to North America, resolving prior disputes and rejoining the team’s training camp, according to his agent Dan Milstein.

“All previous concerns have been thoroughly addressed and are now resolved,” Milstein said Thursday in a statement to The Associated Press.

After refusing to report for the start of the season and missing rookie camp, the 22-year-old Belarusian netminder has now committed to giving the NHL another shot.

This development comes after recent reports suggested he was set to remain in Russia's KHL with Dinamo Minsk.

According to NHL insider Kevin Weekes and Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman , the Flyers and Kolosov have worked out an agreement allowing him to participate in camp and some exhibition games.

"There is word Philadelphia and goalie Alexei Kolosov are working on a solution to his absence," Friedman wrote on X. "Kolosov would come over to play for a bit—exhibition games and some AHL, with agreement on a potential return to KHL if he doesn’t stay with Flyers."

"In speaking to people involved, I can confirm that (goaltender) Kolosov is in the air right now en route to Philly to join @NHLFlyers for Training Camp," Weekes posted on X. "Any past conflicts have been resolved. He looks forward to Camp with #LetsGoFlyers."

While this isn’t a guarantee of his stay for the full season, it represents a significant shift in the situation and definitely something that will please Flyers general manager Danny Briere.

Briere, for context, criticized the goalie's actions and his decision not to report at the start of camp.

“It’s time for him to step up and respect the contract,” Briere said, via NBC Sports .

The Flyers drafted Kolosov in the third round of the 2021 NHL draft. He's considered one of the franchise’s top goaltending prospects. Last season, while starring mostly for Dynamo Minsk in the KHL, Kolosov already played a couple of games for the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
