    Rose Recalls 'Black Mamba' Influence

    SEPT. 27 DERRICK ROSE DEDICATED EARLY CAREER MOVES TO KOBE Derrick Rose recently spoke about Kobe Bryant, and how he inspired the early portion of his NBA career. Rose was aways a different player, which makes sense for him to want to stand out as a no-nonsense star, like the late, great Bryant.

    “My first 3 years in the league I didn’t go to parties didn’t go out to eat didn’t go to concerts because I’m thinking 'Kobe not doing it,'" Rose said on Math Hoffa's "My Expert Opinion" podcast.

    Rose also revealed he hired Arn Tellum, Bryant's first agent. The former New York Knicks guard claimed he asked Tellum everything about Bryant.  Rose was a curious and inspired young basketball player. According to Rose's claims, Bryant inadvertently played a pivotal role in the Chicago Bulls' star winning MVP in his third season.

    Rose announced his retirement on Sept. 27 after 15 seasons in the NBA. he played 152 games with the Knicks.

    SEPT. 26 SHOWING RESPECT TO A VETERAN Derrick Rose announced his retirement via Instagram. As the news surfaced on social media, players expressed gratitude for the 15-year NBA veteran. Miles McBride posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) thanking the former New York Knicks guard.

    "One of the most genuine humans I been around!! Thank you for being an inspiration to Keep Going no matter what!! Peace and Love to a legend," McBride posted .

    Rose played 152 games for the Knicks, averaging 14 points. The Chicago, Illinois native ended his career as the youngest MVP winner in the history of the NBA.
