    By Lance Roberson,

Without Derrick Rose, 10 players would have less money in their bank accounts. The former Chicago Bulls star inspired a CBA run, which is still in effect today. Last season, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton received an extra $40 million due to Rose's MVP year.

"They have Derrick Rose to thank. Whether it be Trese Haliburton last year or Anthony Edwards," ESPN's Bobby Marks said . "Each of them saw an extra $40 million in their contracts because of the "Rose Rule."

When Rose won MVP, he was still on his rookie scale extension, which allows you to bump your contract an extra 30 percent. The "Rose Rule" returns the financial favor for players who outperform their contracts.

Haliburton made the All-NBA team last season, which triggered the Rose Rule, which allows him more money for making a significant leap.

Without Rose's magical 2010-11 season, the game would look different, as in pockets would be emptier. Instead of exceeding expectations for no incentives, Rose forced the NBA owners' hands to reward deserving players.

Haliburton will make $42.1 million for the 2024-25 season.

Rose made a lasting imprint despite his short time on top as a star due to multiple career-changing injuries.

Haliburton looks to add another All-NBA season to his resume, but more importantly, seeks another deep playoff run after winning gold at the Paris Olympics.
