Daniel Jones completed 29 of 40 passes for 281 yards, connecting frequently with receiver Malik Nabers, who would leave the game late in the 4 th quarter with a head injury. Despite this, the Giants’ offense struggled to break through the Cowboys' defense when it mattered most.

“We just didn’t execute in those positions,” Jones said postgame . “We got behind the sticks with penalties and unforced errors. I thought we moved the ball well, but we didn’t finish.”

The lack of six-point drives left New York playing catch-up for much of the game. Despite amassing 303 total yards, the Giants were held to just 26 rushing yards, making their offense one-dimensional and easier to defend despite the Cowboys battling multiple key injuries on the defensive side of the ball throught the game.

In the final moments, with just five seconds left , Jones had one last chance to lead the Giants to victory. However, his pass to the end zone was intercepted, sealing New York’s fate. The Giants’ failure to capitalize on key opportunities and execute in key situations ultimately led to their defeat.
