Steelers vs. Colts: How To Watch, Betting Odds

The Pittsburgh Steelers head to Indianapolis to take on the Colts on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. The NFL scheduling committee did Pittsburgh no favors, as this will be their third road game in four weeks to start the season.

Pittsburgh’s dominant defense has stifled opponents to the tune of 8.5 points per game. All-Pro edge rusher T.J. Watt has dominated week in and week out. A healthy Cam Heyward in the middle with linebackers Patrick Queen, Elandon Roberts and Payton Wilson have held opposing offenses to less than 100 yards rushing per game.

Quarterback Justin Fields has gotten more comfortable every week and finally broke through last week with two touchdowns to beat the Chargers 20-10 in their home opener.

The Steelers will like rely on their running game and a few RPO opportunities for Fields as the Colts have allowed more than 200 yards per game in their two losses.

The Colts will try to get their running game established with Jonathan Taylor, but it could be tough-sledding for the former All-Pro running back. Taylor led the league in rushing in 2021 but hasn’t played a full season since. He played just three games due to injury last season.

The Colts defense will need to step up to keep Indy in the game. The Steelers defense will be looking to shut down the running game and Anthony Richardson to keep them off the scoreboard.
