Raiders Insider Hints At Potential First Coach to be Fired

The Las Vegas Raiders have gotten off to a rough start this year. Not much has gone right for the team through the first three games of the year, and with a 1-2 record, the Raiders are trying to find a way to right the ship before it becomes too late.

With that said, there's a lot of doubt regarding the team's chances for the rest of the 2024 season, and rightfully so. Las Vegas hasn't done much of anything to inspire any confidence from the fan base. If that trend continues, some fans might start calling for some personnel changes, and some have already started doing so.

One of those fans made a remark on X to Bleacher Report's Moe Moton , claiming that if the team went 4-13 in 2024, head coach Antonio Pierce would be fired. Moton responded, claiming that he thinks offensive coordinator Luke Getsy would be fired before Pierce.

Moton does make an interesting point at the end of his post. The Raiders' previous head coach, Josh McDaniels, had a horrible start to his tenure, and the organization still gave him a year and a half to try and figure it out. With that in mind, the idea that Pierce will be around in 2025 seems to be close to 100% accurate.

Getsy, on the other hand, could be out the door sooner. This offseason, Pierce actually agreed to bring in Kliff Kingsbury as the offensive coordinator first, and only picked Getsy after Kingsbury bailed for the Washington Commanders. With Getsy not being the organization's first choice, the chance of him being fired first does make a bit of sense.

Hopefully, the Raiders can figure things out. It would also be good to start to establish some stability in the organization, instead of continuing the revolving door of coaches. We know that's something Mark Davis isn't too fond of, though, so only time will tell.
