Browns vs. Raiders Game Preview: Can Cleveland Protect Deshaun Watson?

    By Wil Riggs,

The Cleveland Browns (1-2) head out west to take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Sin City on Sunday.

The biggest question mark for the Cleveland Browns is who is going to block the Raiders' Maxx Crosby and keep him off of quarterback Deshaun Watson? The Browns offensive line has been decimated by injuries and they have been an absolute turnstile all season.

Watson has been pressured relentlessly through three games. The former Clemson Tiger has not been able to find a rhythm or make big things happen for the Browns this season.

Add that to the fact that now both of the Browns running backs Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. are questionable as of right now, and that leaves just D’Onta Foreman in the backfield.

Watson has looked good at times, and really bad at others. He has to find something that works for him and move his team down the field on a regular basis and start picking up wins.

The Raiders’ Gardner Minshew has thrown for 747 yards connecting on 73-of-99 passes (73.7 percent) with three touchdowns and three interceptions. His biggest weapon, Davante Adams is questionable as well.

Rookie tight end Brock Bowers has been as advertised coming out of Georgia this year. The No. 13 overall pick has caught 18 passes for 197 yards in three games this year.

Vegas is the favorite at home, but most call this game a toss-up. It all depends on pass protection on both sides of the ball.

The game will kick off from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
