The SEC championship race is stocked full of highly-rated teams headed into Week 5. The conference represents five of the top six teams in the AP Poll, headlined by No. 1 Texas and No. 2 Georgia.

The Longhorns and Bulldogs were the popular picks to make the SEC title game in Atlanta coming into the season. Texas is coming off a College Football Playoff appearance, and Georgia has made the SEC championship game in three consecutive seasons.

But nothing is a given when it comes to SEC play. There is certainly a scenario where another program like No. 5 Tennessee finds itself with a chance to earn a conference title before its all said and done.

According to Fox Sports analyst and former national champion head coach, Urban Meyer, the Volunteers are the pick to meet Georgia for the SEC crown.

“I’ve got Georgia still up there,” Meyer said on " The Triple Option ." “I’ve got them (Tennessee) in the SEC Championship Game.”

If Meyer's prediction holds true, it would bring a regular-season rematch to the table. Georgia and Tennessee will square off in Athens on Nov. 16.

The Volunteers haven't made the conference title game since 2007 and haven't won the SEC since the national championship season in 1998. Nonetheless, what Josh Heupel's Vols showed against NC State and No. 21 Oklahoma is enough to draw some high praise from Meyer.

"They are balanced on offense," he said. "They have a good running game. They’re good in the trenches, and they’re very good on defense. Obviously, we’re going to find out. They’re jumping into the rest of the SEC coming up here. But there’s no doubt — I have them as the No. 4, potentially No. 3 team in the country right now.”

Tennessee is off this week before traveling to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks in Week 6. Georgia, however, will face its toughest test yet this week against No. 4 Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
