Bears injury report: Keenan Allen likely to return vs. Rams but 3 others out, 2 more questionable

The Chicago Bears will be without at least three players on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams and could be without three other starters.

The club on Friday officially ruled cornerback Terell Smith, defensive lineman Zacch Pickens and tight end Stephen Carlson out of the game this weekend. Additionally, wide receiver Keenan Allen, defensive tackle Andrew Billings and safety Kevin Byard are considered questionable.

Allen, who has missed the past two weeks with a heel injury, practiced fully on Friday and Bears and coach Matt Eberflus said the team expects the veteran will play on Sunday. Billings and Byard both were limited on Friday after missing Thursday’s practice.

Smith suffered a hip injury last weekend that kept him out of practice all week; Pickens has been sidelined by a groin injury basically all season thus far, playing just seven snaps in Week 2 while missing the other two games; and Carlson suffered a collarbone injury on the last catch of Thursday’s practice that Eberflus said is serious and could land him on injured reserve, although that determination hasn’t yet been made.

Besides possibly getting Allen back, the Bears will also get fullback Khari Blasingame back on Sunday. He’s missed the last two games while dealing with hand and knee injuries.

The Bears and Rams are both trying to get back to .500 with a win this weekend. Kickoff is set for noon on Sunday at Soldier Field.
