Prime Video Makes Huge Announcement After Cowboys-Giants Game

There was a lot of pressure on both the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants heading into their Thursday Night Football showdown on September 26. After two consecutive losses, the Cowboys knew they couldn't afford a defeat against their NFC East rival.

As for the Giants, they wanted to avoid losing yet another matchup in front of a home crowd at MetLife Stadium. While the game remained tight throughout all four quarters, Dallas ultimately won 25-20.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott finished the night completing 22-of-27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones completed 29-of-40 passes for 281 yards and one interception.

On September 27, Amazon's NFL on Prime Video revealed huge news regarding the Cowboys-Giants game.

The network announced that Week 4's Thursday Night Football game averaged 16.22 million viewers. Not only did this matchup set a new all-time high for their TNF broadcast, but the Cowboys-Giants showdown was the most-streamed NFL regular season game in history.

While the Cowboys win over the Giants wasn't pretty, there was an absurd amount of penalty flags thrown were thrown in the first half, viewers remained glued to the game with a peak audience of over 18 million viewers.

Next week's Thursday Night Football matchup features the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the Atlanta Falcons on October 3. In Week 5, the Cowboys (2-2) move on to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football. The Giants (1-3) will let to get back in the win column against the Seattle Seahawks on October 6.
