Virginia Tech WR Demands ACC Consequences Following Controversial Finish

Virginia Tech wide receiver Stephen Gosnell is calling for the ACC to face "consequences" following a controversial finish in the Hokies' 38-34 loss to No. 7 Miami on Friday night.

As time expired, Kyron Drones appeared to connect with Da’Quan Felton on a 30-yard touchdown pass in heavy traffic, which initially seemed to secure a win for Virginia Tech. However, after an extensive review, officials overturned the call.

Gosnell — who finished with a team-high four catches for 53 yards — took to social media with a stern message after the loss.

"Acc knows what they did. I wanna see consequences," Gosnell wrote in a now-deleted message.

He also reposted a video that showed a 61-yard Virginia Tech touchdown run called back due to a borderline holding call.

Virginia Tech Hokies head coach Brent Pry shakes hands with Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal

"That just looks like a good block. Oh my goodness," ESPN analyst Andre Ware said on the broadcast. "That looked like a good block."

Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry was visibly frustrated after the game but delivered a firm message regarding the overturned call.

“That's a tough one right there. The way that game ended, I hope they got that call right,” Virginia Tech coach Brent Pry said. "To take that, to overturn it, take it from our kids, our coaches, our fans, I hope they got it right.”

The Hurricanes survived to remain undefeated, moving to 5-0. Heisman frontrunner Cam Ward finished with 343 yards and five total touchdowns. He did account for three turnovers (two interceptions and a lost fumble).

The Hokies dropped to 2-3 and have a date with Stanford up next.

Welcome to referees determining who they want to win. You need only to look at the Atlanta-KC game, LSu-South Carolina game. They know who they want in the playoffs. Higher people knows what is going on. Alot of money under the table.
