It was a devastating conclusion for any Virginia Tech fan.

The Hokies appeared to have defeated Miami on a last-second Hail Mary pass, only to have it overturned.

Officials decided that Da’Quan Felton snagged a 30-yard touchdown pass from Kyron Drones just as time ran out, surrounded by players from both teams, which would have secured the victory for Virginia Tech. However, after a lengthy review, the call was reversed.

After the game, Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry was understandably upset. “That’s a tough one, right there. The way the game ended, I hope they got that call right. To take that, to overturn it, take it from our kids, our coaches, our fans, I hope they got it right.”

Pry continued, “I'm very proud of our team and our coaches. [We’re] much closer to the team that we need to be week in and week out.”
