Nick Saban and the "College GameDay" crew were in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, previewing one of the biggest games of the 2024-25 season in Week 5.

After spending years as the head coach of the Crimson Tide, Saban is now an analyst with ESPN and was with the crew ahead of Alabama's matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs.

As Saban returned home, fans warmly welcomed him, chanting "Saban, Saban, Saban."

"College GameDay" posted a video of the crowd eruption, showing Saban's reaction to the chant.

Saban retired as the head coach of the program in 2024, following a loss to the Michigan Wolverines, the eventual national champions, in the Rose Bowl.

Saban was the head coach at Alabama from 2007-23. He secured six national titles during his tenure in Tuscaloosa, seemingly cementing himself as one of, if not the greatest coaches in college football history

His final head coaching record was 292-71-1. During his last season at Alabama, Saban's final win with the Crimson Tide was a 27-24 victory over the Bulldogs in the SEC championship.

Alabama now has their biggest game under first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer.

DeBoer led the Washington Huskies to a national title appearance last season against the Wolverines. He's one of the winningest coaches of the last few years, but Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are now in his way.

The No. 4 Crimson Tide are the 1-point underdogs against the No. 2 Bulldogs in Week 5.
