Ole Miss Coach Lane Kiffin Predicts Major College Football Upset on Saturday

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saba doesn’t crack many smiles, but he did during Saturday’s “College GameDay” broadcast courtesy of his former disciple Lane Kiffin.

During an interview with the “CGD” crew, Kiffin was asked by Kirk Herbstreit who he thought would win Saturday night’s matchup between No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama, and the Ole Miss head coach’s answer riled up the Crimson Tide fans on the “College GameDay” set.

“Shoot, what does Georgia and Kirby (Smart) got a 40-game win streak regular season?” Kiffin quipped. “But that’s Alabama and they’re playing on Nick Saban Field tonight, so I’ve got to go Roll Tide.”

Kiffin’s prediction seemingly reflects the shift in betting lines among most major sportsbooks. The Bulldogs opened as the favorite to beat the Tide, and it remained that way all week until Friday evening when Alabama emerged as a one-point home favorite.

BetMGM has the over/under on the game at 49.5 points.

Alabama is 3-0 with blowout wins over Western Kentucky, South Florida and Wisconsin. Georgia is also 3-0 with wins over No. 17 Clemson, Tennessee Tech and Kentucky.
