    In addition to their lackluster first half against the Kentucky Wildcats , the No. 6 ranked Ole Miss Rebels faced significant backlash after backup running back Matt Jones appeared to fake an injury at the cue of quarterback Jaxson Dart .

    While this type of tactic has been seen in football for some time, there’s nothing in the rulebook to hold teams or players accountable for it, leading to intense scrutiny of Ole Miss for overtly employing this strategy.

    The Rebels had a lackluster first half, which led to several poor decisions, including this controversial incident. Once the media caught wind of what happened, it sparked further criticism of their strategy.

    The Rebels entered halftime down 10-7 to unranked Kentucky, yet this remained one of the biggest talking points of the half and fans were outraged with it wanting college football to begin hold players accountable.
