Former NFL No. 1 Pick Predicts Huge Week 4 Upset

NFL fans are in for a second straight "Monday Night Football" doubleheader in Week 4.

First, the Tennessee Titans (0-3) will visit the Miami Dolphins (1-2) for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff followed by an 8:15 p.m. ET matchup between the undefeated Seattle Seahawks (3-0) and Detroit Lions (2-1) from Ford Field in Detroit.

As a part of NFL.com's bold predictions for Week 4 , NFL analyst and former No. 1 overall draft pick David Carr picked the Seahawks to pull off an upset on the road.

"The Seahawks prove their 3-0 start isn't a fluke with offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and Geno Smith showcasing their new passing attack in Detroit on Monday Night Football," Carr began.

"The veteran quarterback tosses four touchdown passes — with DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba all getting in on the action — to lead the 'Hawks to an upset win over the Lions, making Seattle 4-0 for the first time since 2020," Carr predicted.

Carr, the older brother of current New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr, isn't alone either.

CBS Sports writer Garrett Podell is also siding with the Seahawks on Monday, citing Metcalf's advantage over "an inexperienced group of Lions cornerbacks."

As of Saturday, ESPN BET lists the Lions as 3.5-point home favorites . The two teams last played in Week 4 of the 2022 season. Seattle secured a 48-45 shootout win on the road over the Dan Campbell-led Lions.

This time, Seattle's No. 2-ranked defense will look to slow down Detroit's No. 4-ranked offense. The Seahawks' offense ranks highly too, sitting at No. 8 in total yards per game at 344.0 after three games.
