Auburn Cheerleader Collides With Oklahoma Player During Epic Pregame Blunder

After suffering a 25-15 Week 4 loss to the Tennessee Volunteers in their first SEC game, the No. 21 Oklahoma Sooners are back in action against another conference foe, the Auburn Tigers, at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Before the game even began, there was already a scary collision involving an Oklahoma player and an Auburn cheerleader.

As the Sooners were entering the field, a male cheerleader from the home team was performing backflips to get the crowd pumped up.

But his momentum was too fast and at the 10-yard line, the cheerleader collided with what appeared to be Oklahoma defensive back Makari Vickers, knocking each other to the ground.

Both Vickers and the cheerleader appeared to be unharmed following the incident as they got up immediately. Another cheerleader came to make sure her teammate was okay, and Vickers was helped up by his own teammate.

The Sooners got off to a strong start to begin the 2024 season, going 3-0 after defeating the Temple Owls, Houston Cougars and Tulane Green Wave. Sooners coach Brent Venables is now in his third season with the school. He improved his team's record from his first season (6-7) to his second (10-3).

Meanwhile, coach Hugh Freeze is in his second season with the Tigers. He led Auburn to a 6-7 record in 2023, finishing with a loss to Maryland in the Music City Bowl. This year, the Tigers have started 2-2, with wins over Alabama A&M and New Mexico.
