WR Ryan Wingo Heads to the Locker Room on Saturday

Texas has built a 14-6 lead over Mississippi State in the first half on Saturday, but it may be without dynamic freshman wide receiver Ryan Wingo in the second half of the game.

Wingo went into the injury tent after hobbling off the field with 1:10 remaining in the first half, and he was clearly favoring his right foot/ankle, according to Longhorns insider Chip Brown.

Wingo had just one catch for -2 yards in the game before leaving with the injury, and the freshman has been mostly shut out today after a strong start to the year. Coming into this game, he had eight catches for 241 yards and two touchdowns this season.

It's unclear if Wingo will be able to return on Saturday, and Longhorns fans will hope to see the star receiver back in action. We'll keep you posted on any updates on Wingo's status.
