The Week 5 college football meeting between the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide was the definition of a roller coaster game.

Most thought the game was over after Alabama built a wide halftime lead, 30-7. However, Carson Beck and the Georgia offense ramped things all the way up in the second half, outscoring Alabama 27-11. Seven of those points came via a go-ahead 67-yard touchdown pass from Beck to Dillon Bell to make it 34-33 with 2:31 remaining.

Jalen Milroe and freshman receiver Ryan Williams answered with a 75-yard touchdown connection on the first play of Alabama's offensive possession to snatch the lead back, going up 41-34. Williams wasn't the only freshman to come up clutch, as corner Zabien Brown picked off Beck in the end zone on Georgia's next possession to seal the victory for the Tide.

As one could imagine, social media went ballistic, with many fans deeming this game to be a classic or one of the best games ever.

"Alabama and Georgia deserve a standing ovation. That game DELIVERED. One of the best I have ever watched," wrote Heisman winner Robert Griffin III.

"That Georgia/Alabama game was an instant classic," added a fan.

"Alabama x Georgia with an all time classic, wow," chimed in another.

"That is what I call playing all 4 quarters by two outstanding teams. Hats off to Alabama and my Dawgs on an instant classic. You won the battle, but the war still rages on! We will see you again hopefully," wrote a Georgia fan.

Alabama has now won nine out of the last 10 meetings with Georgia. According to ESPN , the Bulldogs have an impressive 45-3 record since 2021. However, all three of those losses came against the Crimson Tide, as Kalen DeBoer has been able to pick up where Nick Saban left off.

The loss for Georgia also snapped their 42-game win streak in regular season games.

For DeBoer, he continues to prove just how elite of a coach he is. As pointed out by CBS Sports ' Shehan Jeyarajah, DeBoer is now 30-3 as a power conference coach. To take his immense success to another level, DeBoer is also 6-0 against Kirby Smart, Dan Lanning (Oregon) and Steve Sarkisian (Texas).

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back against Auburn (2-3) in Week 6, while Alabama has a bye this next week. The Crimson Tide return to action against Vanderbilt on Oct. 15.
