Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty was the talk of the college football world after an electric performance in Week 5.

The Broncos defeated Washington State, 45-24, solidifying Boise State's spot in the AP Top 25 poll. Boise State scored 28 points in the second half to secure the victory, including two rushing touchdowns from Jeanty.

Jeanty led the Broncos with 26 carries for 259 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He averaged over 10.0 yards per carry, including two touchdown runs over 50 yards. It was another Heisman moment for the talented running back.

Jeanty is the only FBS player who has recorded four or more rushing touchdowns in multiple games this season. He opened the season with a six-touchdown performance against Georgia Southern.

Fans across college football shared their thoughts on Jeanty's impressive performance, calling him the favorite for the Heisman Trophy. Other fans claimed that not inviting him to New York would be a disservice to the prestigious award.

Jeanty entered this weekend with the ninth-best odds for the Heisman Trophy, according to BetMGM . Over the first four games, Jeanty has recorded 845 rushing yards on only 82 carries and 13 rushing touchdowns.

After his fourth touchdown against Washington State, Jeanty's celebration told the college football world that his performance should have him in the conversation for New York.

Others, including former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, speculated that Jeanty has solidified his spot as the No. 1 running back in the upcoming NFL draft.

Boise State moves to 3-1 with an impressive win over Washington State. Jeanty will look to continue his Heisman campaign against Utah State next weekend as the Broncos open conference play.

“Jeanty led the Broncos with 26 carries for 259 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He averaged over 10.0 yards per carry”. NO! If he had 259 yards in 26 carries he averaged 9.96 yards per carry which is not “over 10.0 yards per carry.” But he’s a great running back… too bad a player from boise state will NEVER win the heisman no matter how great.
