Shaquille O’Neal Takes Another Jab at Charles Barkley

NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal has never given an opinion he didn't like. He's among the most outspoken sports personalities out there, and he's not afraid to ruffle some feathers.

O'Neal takes pride in his knowledge of the game, and he's always eager to learn more, especially since he works as a TV analyst and also hosts "The Big Podcast With Shaq."

In fact, the four-time NBA champion is pursuing a degree in sports psychology. When asked about it during an interview with Zeta Global founder and CEO David Steinberg at the Zeta Live 2024 AI and marketing event, O'Neal said credibility is paramount for him.

"The reason why I'm in school again getting my master's is I look at a lot of sports psychologists, and I'm the type (of person) that if I can ask you a question, 'How do you know?' Then I really can't believe you," said the Hall of Fame center.

His fellow NBA icon, Charles Barkley, also caught strays from the 52-year-old O'Neal, albeit humorously.

"For example, Charles Barkley talks about championships," said the former MVP, eliciting laughter from the audience. "How do you know, Charles?

"You were there (NBA Finals) one time, but Michael Jordan kicked your a**. So you don't know what it takes (to win a championship)."

Barkley led the Phoenix Suns to the 1993 NBA Finals but lost to Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in six games.

O'Neal, on the other hand, won three straight titles with the Los Angeles Lakers from 2000-02 and added another one with the Miami Heat in 2006.

Shaq, who already boasts of three degrees, including a master's in business administration and a doctorate in education, has repeatedly roasted Chuck with his familiar ring argument.
