Brett Favre Reacts to Jordan Love's Pregame Outfit

Legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre sent a message to Jordan Love on Sunday morning. Love made a gesture to the Packers icon during his pregame walk inside Lambeau Field before kickoff against the Minnesota Vikings.

Love, who is expected to make his first start since sustaining an MCL injury in Week 1, wore a retro Favre jersey. The Packers' social media team put video of the pregame walk on X.

The post caught the attention of Favre. The Packers Super-Bowl-winning quarterback responded to Love with a post of his own.

"Big respect to Jordan Love for wearing this old man’s jersey," Favre wrote on X. "I didn’t think I could like Jordan anymore until this morning."

The gesture from Love came days after Favre announced he was battling Parkinson's disease. Per the New York Times, Favre said during a hearing on welfare reform that a pharmaceutical company that benefited from controversial funding, Prevacus, was working to find a remedy for concussions.

“Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others,” Favre said. “And I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause dear to my heart.”

Favre's health was close to the heart of the Packers franchise quarterback on Sunday morning. The 2-1 Packers are set to play the undefeated 3-0 Vikings on Sunday for the first of at least two meetings this season.

Favre played for both teams during his NFL career, including his final two NFL seasons in Minnesota in 2009-10.
