Watch Fox Sports Crew Hilariously Trick Rob Gronkowski With Perfect Prank

The Fox Sports crew for NFL Sundays has been one of the fan-favorite broadcasts during the season. They added former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski to the crew in 2019, and he's been a solid addition since then.

His knowledge of the game is undeniable, as Gronkowski is considered one of the best tight ends in NFL history. Although he has a hilarious personality, his analysis tends to be relatively accurate.

With that in mind, the Fox Sports crew pulled a fast one on the 35-year-old former NFL star. Jay Glazer revealed the behind the scenes trick the entire broadcast team played on Gronkowski.

The crew created a fake tight end by the name of Rich Russo and claimed the Dallas Cowboys had activated a Pro Bowl-level tight end to the roster. They hilariously made Gronkowski offer his analysis on the fake tight end, and the results are absolutely hilarious .

Credit to Gronkowski for making something up on the spot, as he truly believed the crew was live on air. That's just some Grade A improve there from the four-time Super Bowl winning tight end.

The two fingers missing should have been a giveaway. But the crew did a phenomenal job of keeping the prank going until they couldn't any longer. If anything, the Fox Sports crew might be able to pull off more pranks on the other crew members if they wanted to.

Gronkowski played 11 total years in the NFL before retiring. He played alongside Tom Brady in New England from 2010 to 2018. He announced his retirement and didn't play in the 2019 season but did return to play with Brady again with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two season.

He's arguably the best tight end to ever play the game. The former NFL superstar was mostly known for making tough catches and running people over when he had the ball in his hands.

Gronkowski ended his career with 621 receptions (10th all-time for tight ends), 9,286 yards (6th all-time), and 92 touchdowns (3rd all-time). He ended his career with four Super Bowl wins and was a five-time NFL Pro Bolwer. Gronkowski will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2027.
