After UCF endured a crushing home defeat to the Colorado Buffaloes, Knights head coach Gus Malzahn addressed the media and shared his thoughts on the game and where the team needs to be better.

“First of all, congratulations to Colorado. They outplayed us, they outcoached us, they're a good team. I'm really disappointed for our fans. Man, they brought it today with everything. We talk about seizing the moment, we didn't get it done. I just told our team that in the game of football and life you learn most about yourself in major adversity, and we didn't get it done…offensively, we turned the ball over four times, that's very uncharacteristic. We got down to the five yard line on the first drive and threw an interception…we got to be able to generate more rushing yards than we did but, you got to give them credit, I think they're a good team.”

On his defense not getting pressure on the quarterback.

Gus Malzahn: We got to find a way. I think we have three sacks through four games…it stinks right now. Everybody in the locker room feels the same way, and our expectations are high and we should feel that way but it’s one game…and we’ll learn a lot about our team this week. We’ll find out truly who we are. We were on top of the world after that last win and now we’re in the tank right there…We got another opportunity to go to Gainesville, obviously you know that's a big one too…so we got to figure out a way to go there and play better football.”
