The Kansas City Chiefs entered Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers aiming to stay undefeated, with wide receiver Rashee Rice emerging as one of the top wideouts in the league through the first three games.

However, during the first quarter, Rice reportedly sustained a knee injury while attempting to tackle a defensive returner after Patrick Mahomes threw an interception.

He was later seen being carted off to the locker room. It is expected to be a knee injury , and the severity of the injury and his potential return remain uncertain.

In the video, Rice is seen taking a hit to the leg after one of his own players dove for the football in an attempt to recover it during a fumble.

    Check it out:

Rice has been the most reliable and consistent target for Mahomes in the first three weeks of the season. With 24 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns, he has averaged an impressive 96.0 yards per game.

Losing him would be a significant blow to a team already without its starting running back and down a starting wide receiver in Marquise Brown. His impact will be sorely missed if he cannot return to the Chiefs' offense soon.
