The Broncos went to New York (er, New Jersey, technically) on Sunday for their Week 4 matchup against the Aaron Rodgers and the rejuvenated Jets as the second-biuggest underdogs on the board for the week. Vegas had Denver getting 8.0 points at MetLife Stadium, the longest shot of the week with the exception of the Patriots (getting 10.5 points in San Francisco).

But the Jets squandered whatever momentum they had from their two-game wininng streak to fizzle out with a sloppy 10-9 loss to the Broncos, one in which they outgained Denver, 248 yards to 186 yards, but which also saw them whistled for 13 penalties, lose an opening-drive fumble, go 0-for-2 in the red zone and close the game with a missed field goal.

A trash game for the Jets? That would be fair to say.

And the Broncos were happy to remind them of it in the moments after the missed kick by Greg Zuerlein (it was a 50-yarder, to be fair) sealed the Broncos' win.

The official Denver Broncos account on Twitter/X responded to the win by posting the well-known New York City meme showing a rat dragging a piece of pizza down a flight of subway stairs.

Except the rat was covered over by a Jets logo. Well played.

The win moved Denver to 2-2 on the season, and showed this Broncos bunch to be tougher than expected. They've won twice on the road now, beating the Buccaneers handily in Week 3. The two teams the Broncos lost to (Pittsburgh and Seattle) had started the season 6-0.

Broncos won’t make the playoffs. The Jets will bounce back and have a better record than the broncos.
