Chiefs' Travis Kelce Sends 5-Word Message on Health Ahead of Week 4 Showdown

Amid the slow start that we've seen from star Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in which he has caught eight passes for 69 yards without a touchdown in three games, questions have arisen around just about every aspect of his life.

Is he too distracted by his suddenly high-profile lifestyle with girlfriend Taylor Swift? Is he slowing down at age 34? Is he losing his connection with quarterback Patrick Mahomes? Maybe most important: Is he healthy?

Kelce did address that last one directly this week with a firm message to reporters during his press conference : "I’m ready to rock, baby."

While the Chiefs, the two-time defending Super Bowl champs, are 3-0 to start the year, there has been growing concern about the lackluster Kansas City offense. They're just 14th in yardage, with 984 total.

But Kelce discussed the fact that the Chiefs went through offensive struggles last year, too. And they're only three games into the season.

"I think there is a bit of understanding of, we’re gonna have to keep working and we’re not where we want to be," Kelce said. "But knowing that we have the entire year to get there. Obviously, we want to be the best we can right now. We want to win every single ball game we can. But at the same time there is a sense of urgency throughout the week to get things right for the opponent we’re playing."

The Chiefs play the Chargers on Sunday in Los Angeles, at 4:25 p.m. ET.
