John Harbaugh’s Dad Goes Viral for Fiery Postgame Speech After Bills-Ravens

It’s been well-documented that the Harbaugh family is a feisty bunch.

So it should come as no surprise that after the Baltimore Ravens’ dominating 35-10 win over the Buffalo Bills on “Sunday Night Football” that head coach John Harbaugh’s father Jack tried to give an impassioned postgame speech.

The problem was he was trying to rile up a group of local reporters gathered in the Ravens’ postgame press area who all likely just wanted some quotes so they could file their stories and head home.

A video clip, which has garnered nearly 300,000 views in approximately 45 minutes between the Ravens, the NFL and Bleacher Report accounts, went viral of Jack Harbaugh trying to fire up a room of approximately 20 or so reporters only to be let down with their less-than-enthusiastic response.

“Who’s got it better than us?” Jack asked. “No…body. God, I’m so disappointed — I’m not disappointed in you (John), [I’m disappointed in them].”

“You see what I have to deal with every day,” John responded.

The “who’s got it better than us” chant has become the family mantra over the years. John’s brother Jim used to use the phrase quite often when he was head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014.

If Jack was disappointed in the media’s response to his battle cry, he surely wasn’t disappointed in the job his son did coaching against the Bills.

Baltimore played shutdown defense, limiting Buffalo to just 236 yards of total offense, well below its season average of 329 yards. The Ravens held MVP front-runner Josh Allen to only 180 yards passing and zero touchdowns while limiting Buffalo’s rushing offense to 3.5 yards per carry.

The Ravens handed the Bills their first loss of the season and also became the first team to hold the Bills to under 30 points this year.
