    By Wil Riggs,

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 17-10 at SoFi Stadium on Sunday. They look to have lose Rashee Rice for the season with a potential ACL tear (MRI to confirm on Monday).

Through all of the injuries, one man had to step up for the Chiefs and help move the ball. Enter tight end Travis Kelce.

Through the first three games of the season, Kelce had a just eight catches for 69 yards and had people wondering if he had lost a step.

On Sunday, in the face of adversity and injuries, Kelce finally came through, catching seven passes for 89 yards in the win. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes attempted 29 passes, and nearly a third of those went to Kelce.

Thanks to a stellar defensive performance, the Chiefs were able to come back from 10 points down early in the first quarter. Kansas City turned the ball over on their first two possessions which led to 10 quick Chargers points.

Both teams struggled in the second half, and Kelce only had three targets, catching two of them, after halftime.

So ... while Kelce had a big day in the first half, he was virtually missing in the entire second half. Last week, he had one touch in the second half, and the week before that he had just one.

With the Chiefs missing Rice, running back Isiah Pacheco and receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, they are going to need to get back to a steady diet of Kelce throughout the game.

The Chiefs are at home next week to host the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football before rolling into their bye.
