Trade Again? Why Eagles Can't Bring Back Haason Reddick

As rumors swirl about a potential reunion between the Philadelphia Eagles and former star linebacker Haason Reddick, it's becoming increasingly clear that such a move would be ill-advised for the organization. Despite Reddick's undeniable talent and past contributions, several factors suggest that bringing him back would cause more trouble than it's worth.

But you know what the biggest factor is? Such a transaction would be illegal.

NFL Network has noted a rather obscure bylaw that prevents the re-trade-in-return from occurring within two years of the initial swap. So that's that. But besides - and maybe this is "buyer beware'' for any bidder ...

Reddick has been in a contract dispute with the New York Jets ever since he was traded, refusing to report without a raise. This situation mirrors the financial headaches that led to his departure from Philadelphia in the first place. The Eagles have already moved on from Reddick's contract demands, and revisiting this issue would likely create unnecessary financial strain and roster complications.

According to 97.5 The Fanatic's John Kincade, Reddick's exit from Philadelphia was met with "deafening silence" from his former teammates. Kincade stated, "Nobody gave a damn when he walked out the door." This lack of camaraderie raises red flags about Reddick's impact on team chemistry and morale.

The Eagles have already faced numerous challenges this season, and introducing a potentially disruptive element like Reddick could derail their efforts to get back on track. The team's focus should be on building cohesion and addressing existing issues rather than reintroducing a player who may bring additional complications.

Reports suggest that the Eagles' front office has no interest in bringing Reddick back. Kincade emphatically stated "The Eagles don't want him back. It doesn't matter — the Eagles didn't want him. The Eagles wanted him out."

And now we know they can't have him back. And we also know more about whether any other team should want him.
