Bills Receive Positive Update to Injured Defensive Stars

The Buffalo Bills defense, for the first time in 2024, looked like a group that had been dealt a series of key defensive blows on Sunday Night Football.

In the team's 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo's injuries to linebacker Matt Milano, cornerback Taron Johnson, and linebacker Terrel Bernard were apparent.

So much so that it looks like Buffalo is willing to try out some of their injured players on the practice field immediately following the loss.

"I expect Terrel Bernard to practice at some point during the week, while Taron Johnson is more of a question mark," Bills head coach Sean McDermott said.

Johnson is a first-team All-Pro slot corner and is considered one of the best in the game at his position. To get him back on the field is something that is drastically needed for the secondary and the defense as a whole.

Bernard was considered the best available linebacker after Milano tore his triceps during the preseason.

For both players to be back is a major positive for the organization moving forward. It seems that running back Derrick Henry's dominant rushing performance of nearly 200 yards is something the team doesn't want to repeat.

And that could be a great thing moving forward.

Ya win some and ya loose some. That's football. 🤷‍♂️ It was definitely a tough pill to swallow but We will bounce back from this and call a learning experience. We will be in decent shape when we get them 2 back on the field. Seems like we cant dodge the injury bug and it kills us. On to the Texans this week and I'd bet they wont be as happy as the Ravens at the end of the 4th. 😂 Go Bills.
