Fans Are Saying The Same Thing About Detroit Lions' New Jerseys on MNF

In the final game of the Week 4 slate of the 2024 NFL season, the Detroit Lions played host to the Seattle Seahawks at Ford Field on "Monday Night Football."

Over the offseason, the Lions revealed their new uniforms for the new year, which included an alternative black kit that was debuted against Seattle.

The black uniform includes a mostly black jersey with blue stripes and numbering, all-black pants and a brand-new light blue helmet with a darker variation of Detroit's logo.

This is not the first time the Lions have donned a black look. In 1948, they debuted a black jersey for that season. And from 2005 to 2007, when coach Dan Campbell played for the team, they wore a similar black uniform but with their normal helmets.

According to the team's website , Detroit has dubbed its new black kit as the "Motor City Muscle" and that they were "heavily influenced by the grit and swagger our team brings to the field."

NFL fans absolutely loved the Lions' new look and took to social media to leave their thoughts.

Detroit entered Week 4 with a 2-1 record, including wins over the Los Angeles Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. After going 12-21-1 over his first two seasons with the team, Campbell led the Lions to a 12-5 record in 2023, finishing with an NFC Championship loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Campbell and his squad are eying an even deeper run in the postseason this year.
