Star pass rusher Haason Reddick missed his fourth straight game for the New York Jets on Sunday as he holds out following a trade request in mid-August.

The 30-year-old Pro Bowler was traded to New York in March by the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a conditional 2026 third-round pick.

After ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini said on Sept. 25 that the frustrated linebacker "wouldn’t mind going back to Philadelphia" if the opportunity presented itself, 97.5 The Fanatic's John Kincade made it clear the Eagles wouldn't be open to a reunion.

"The Eagles don’t want him back," Kincade said. "It doesn’t matter — the Eagles didn’t want him. The Eagles wanted him out. They had no interest in dealing with him moneywise or dealing with him. And, more importantly ... nobody gave a damn when he walked out the door."

However, even if the sides wanted to make a deal, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Monday that it wouldn't be allowed by league rules.

"The #Jets situation with Haason Reddick still has no resolution & some wondered if NYJ could trade him back to the #Eagles," Rapoport wrote on X. "Turns out, per NFL rules, not possible.

"Teams can't trade a player, then reacquire him via trade until 2 years elapse. Reddick won’t head back to Philly."

As one of the NFL's most dangerous pass rushers, Reddick has recorded at least 11 sacks in each of his last four seasons, including a career-high 16 sacks with Philly in 2022.

Entering Week 5, Reddick has already missed out on $3.16 million in-game checks and owes "$4.5 million in mandatory fines, plus another $1.4 million in discretionary fines," per Cimini .
