Deion Sanders Sends Warning to College Football World on 'Next' Travis Hunter

Deion Sanders proudly highlighted Isaiah Hardge as the only player, aside from Travis Hunter, donning a grey jersey during Colorado's practice on Tuesday.

The jersey represents a two-way player for the Buffaloes. Hunter has taken on the role at an unprecedented level, placing him squarely in the Heisman Trophy conversation .

Sanders predicts that Hardge could be the next Colorado player to make an impact on both sides of the ball. He gave Hardge some love in a clip posted on Tuesday from Well Off Media of Colorado's practice.

"He's a two-way player," Sanders said . "You only thought we had Travis. He's next.”

Hardge, a redshirt freshman, was a three-star recruit out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida. He was originally recruited as a wide receiver but has converted to a defensive back.

Hardge has yet to make his impact felt on game day but did makes some waves during Colorado's spring game. With the Buffaloes shorthanded at running back he functioned as an emergency fill-in and scampered for a 40-yard touchdown run.

“Isaiah is an athlete. This is a kid who came, the receiver flipped over to the defensive back because we were desperately in that position. He went back and blessed us and played running back for us and got it done," Sanders said after the spring game. "He's an athlete, he's a ballplayer, you’re never going to see him late for anything, you're never going to see him uncommitted, you're never going to see problems with grades, yes sir and no sir type of guy, always on time. I love the young man, I really do. He went out there and displayed his versatility tremendously. I love what he brings to the table, offensively or defensively."

Hardge has a long way to go to be on the level of Travis Hunter. But he has the confidence of Coach Prime.
