    Draymond Green 'Preaches' Patience

Draymond Green's preaching of patience is like Stephen Jackson's sensitivity training teaching. It would be nice, but it doesn't resonate. However, Green did just that during Golden State Warriors media day, applauding the front office for their restraint regarding the trade market during the offseason. Green isn't one to panic, and according to the elite defender, neither is Golden State's front office.

"I like the job Mike's [Dunleavy Jr.] done with reconfiguring the roster. I thought Mike did it, and Joe [Lacob] and his organization did an incredible job of not panicking," Green said during media day. "In the moment where you feel like, ah, you miss out on the guy or two, most people make a bad deal because everyone around the world, everyone, you know, the microscope that's always on this organization."

Golden State missed the playoffs for the third time since 2020. However, they won a championship in 2022. Given the recent championship success, perhaps Green has a point in not panicking.

However, considering Stephen Curry's advanced basketball age, 36, and a franchise built on a mantra exuding, "We are light years ahead of the league," striking out on Paul George and Lauri Markkanen doesn't earn badges of honor.

Real patience lies in how they "dealt" with Green. Although Green helped the Warriors win multiple championships, he's also cost them a championship, possibly losing Kevin Durant and the playoffs, as he only played 55 games for the 2023-24 season.

For years, the Warriors enabled Green's behavior despite it leading to a teammate being punched in the face or suspended in a precious NBA Finals game, among other void-of-patience incidents.

Although patience is vital, tolerance of such irresponsible behavior only hurts the franchise, lessening the chances of one more spectacular Curry playoff run. Regardless of the narrative, losing out on star players isn't a positive outcome.
