Dallas Cowboys Reportedly Make Final Decision on Davante Adams

The Las Vegas Raiders and star wide receiver Davante Adams are parting ways sometime in the future after reports confirmed both parties wanted the 31-year-old to be traded.

The eventual move to trade Adams comes after the Raiders acquired him from the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2022 season for a first and second-round pick.

According to Adam Schefter , the Raiders would "consider" trading Adams for a second-round pick and other compensation. An asking price that a handful of contending teams are likely more than willing to pay to land the three-time All-pro.

Following reports that Adams is expected to be traded, teams like the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers have all been mentioned as options. Another team that was initially expected to be in the mix was the Dallas Cowboys.

However, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Cowboys are now "not interested" in trading for Adams.

Schultz also revealed that the Chiefs are in the market for a receiver after Rashee Rice's injury, but since the Raiders and them are rivals, a trade between the two is "highly unlikely."

Schultz did say that the general consensus around the NFL is that the New York Jets will reunite Adams with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

"The #Jets are seen by many executives as a top landing spot," wrote Schultz. Though other teams are expected to be involved."

The Raiders trading Adams doesn't surprise many, considering he has been entrenched in trade rumors all offseason. These were sparked by his outburst on Netflix's "Receiver," which was released in July, and saw him telling people on the sidelines that he wanted to get out of Las Vegas in the middle of a game last season.

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce also may have added fuel to the fire earlier this week after allegedly " liking " an Instagram post that revealed Adams could be done in Las Vegas.

Regarding the Cowboys not wanting Adams, it is clear that they will look within to find help for CeeDee Lamb. It also indicates they weren't interested in renting Adams since he has just one year of guaranteed money left on his deal, or they weren't interested in paying him long-term.

It seems all signs are still pointing towards the Jets.

How in the world can Jerry not be interested. I’m starting to hate my team because of him. Doesn’t he want another Super Bowl wtf

This really smells of the Jones’s having financial trouble. Normally they would scoop up Adam’s, Derrick Henry, and others. Scary stuff😱🤔
