Tom Brady Makes Unexpected Multimillion Dollar Decision

According to Celebrity Net Worth , the great Tom Brady is currently worth an estimated $700 million. The seven-time Super Bowl champion amassed his fortune during his 23 years in the NFL, which, of course, also included a multitude of high-paying endorsement deals.

Despite the fact that he is now retired from professional football, the 47-year-old is still making a lot of money through his running sponsorship deals, his recent 10-year, $375 million broadcasting deal with Fox Sports, as well as his numerous investments off the field.

Speaking of which, Brady has invested a lot of his hard-earned money on his watches. According to GQ , the New England Patriot icon's stunning watch collection is valued at up to $6 million.

Apparently, the GOAT has come to a decision to part ways with his collection via an auction -- or at least a significant part of it.

Teaming up with Sotheby's, a world-renowned premier auction house, Brady has decided to auction off 27 timepieces from his collection. The list includes a custom Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (estimated at $400,000 to $800,000), at Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980 ($180,000 to $240,000), a Rolex Day-Date ($80,000 to $120,000), a Richard Mille "Baby Nadal" ($300,000 to $500,000) and an IWC "TOP GUN" Pilot's Watch ($12,000 to $18,000), to name a few.

“I’ve been so fortunate to have such an amazing journey in my career, and these watches and collectibles really capture those unforgettable moments and all the hard work behind them,” Brady said in a statement. “I’m excited to give fans and collectors a chance to own and cherish these special pieces from my journey just like I have.”

It is unclear why Brady has decided to sell off his watches, which, as he said himself, holds a lot of sentimental value for him. It does not seem like the former Michigan standout is going through a financial rough patch at the moment, which makes this significant decision a bit unexpected.

According to GQ, the auction, which has been dubbed "The GOAT Collection: Watches and Treasures from Tom Brady," will also include a few of Brady's game-worn jerseys from memorable moments throughout his decorated career.

The auction will reportedly take place in December, with Sotheby's planning to bring the items to its auction houses in Los Angeles, Miami and Dallas.
