Colin Cowherd Names Top College Football Program That Can Win National Title With Two QBs

A college football program being able to have success while playing two quarterbacks is rare. Florida coach Billy Napier has been hit with criticism for his decision to play both Graham Mertz and DJ Lagway, a move that has not paid off yet.

On the other hand, one college football program has found success, although those quarterbacks have not been playing at the same time.

That program is the Texas Longhorns. When Quinn Ewers went down with an injury in the game against UTSA, Arch Manning was thrust into action and exceeded all expectations.

Manning then started the next two games as Ewers worked his way back from injury.

With a Week 6 bye, all signs point to Ewers starting for Texas on Week 7 against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.

Nonetheless, Colin Cowherd stated that Texas could win the College Football Playoff national title with either one of them under center.

"They can win the national championship with Arch Manning and Quinn Ewers," Cowherd said.

Joel Klatt then said, "I think that's true. I think that's absolutely right."

Having two quarterbacks as talented as Ewers and Manning is a good problem for Steve Sarkisian, but it seems that Ewers will be the starter as long as he remains healthy.

However, if Ewers gets injured, Texas should feel great about having Manning waiting in the wings.

Manning and Ewers have both dazzled when they have played, and Texas is 5-0 and right behind Alabama for the top spot in the polls largely because of the quarterback play.
