Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark just capped off a rookie season for the ages.

Drafted first overall this past April out of Iowa, she made an immediate impact in the WNBA. Her play on the court has taken women’s basketball to new levels, driving up jersey sales, packing arenas and boosting TV ratings like never before.

Clark took home the WNBA Rookie of the Year award, landed in the top five in MVP voting and even set the record for most assists in a single season.

Reflecting on her first year, Clark shared a heartfelt Instagram post on Wednesday.

"Year one ✅ — thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream," Clark wrote. "I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life.
See you all in year two 🖤💫."

Among the comments, her teammate Kelsey Mitchell, who’s taken Clark under her wing since day one, stood out. Mitchell referenced Clark’s initials.

    “Csquared🤞🏾🥶🫶🏾,” she commented.

Clark, 22, and Mitchell, 28, played a critical role in leading Indiana to its first WNBA playoff berth since 2016. Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. On the other hand, Mitchell averaged 19.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

Mitchell just wrapped up her seventh season in the WNBA. She was drafted second overall in the 2018 draft out of Ohio State.
