The Washington Commanders continue their impressive start to the 2024 season, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who has taken the NFL by storm. In Week 4, Daniels helped the Commanders secure a dominant 42-14 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, pushing their record to 3-1—their best start since 2011.

For Daniels, currently, living the dream is an understatement.

Daniels put up impressive stats , completing 26 of 30 passes for 233 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while posting a QBR of 89.4. His precision passing has been a highlight this season, as he hasn’t posted a completion percentage lower than 79.3 since Week 1. Against the Cardinals, he achieved an 86.7 percent completion rate, showcasing his accuracy.

TDaniels has earned the NVP — Nickelodeon Valuable Player — award for the week, as announced by Dora the Explorer on "NFL Slimetime." This honor further solidifies his growing popularity and reflects his immediate impact in the league.

Daniels now joins a select group of players who have been named NVP this season:

    • Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles, Week 1): Barkley had 24 carries for 109 yards and two rushing touchdowns, along with two receptions for 23 yards and one receiving touchdown.
    • Marvin Harrison Jr. (Arizona Cardinals, Week 2): Harrison recorded four receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
    • Sam Darnold (Minnesota Vikings, Week 3): Darnold completed 17 of 28 passes for 181 yards, four touchdowns, and was sacked four times with a QBR of 75.7.

Looking ahead, Daniels and the Commanders face a Week 5 matchup against the 1-3 Cleveland Browns. While the Browns' defense has been a bright spot, led by star pass rusher Myles Garrett, they’ll need to contain the dual-threat QB if they want to slow down the Commanders' winning streak. Daniels has rushed for at least 39 yards in every game this season, giving the Browns plenty to prepare for on both sides of the ball.
