Could Knicks Reach 60 Wins This Season?

The New York Knicks have made a number of big moves this offseason, and it could lead them to hit their highest win mark in their rich history.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report , they predict each NBA team's win-loss record by the end of the season. For the new-look Knicks, they predict them to finish with a 57-25 record, which is seven more wins than they had this past season.

"Karl-Anthony Towns isn't a dominant defensive force, but he's one of the better offensive bigs in the league. He changes how the Knicks can play offensively, and coach Tom Thibodeau will build a defensive scheme that works around Towns," Eric Pincus writes. "New York should slot second in the standings to just the Celtics, and the two should be the favorites to duke it out deep into the playoffs."

Given all of the blockbuster moves that the Knicks have made this offseason, projecting them to only get seven more wins than they did this past season seems to be underselling them a bit.

You also have to take into account that the team was riddled with injuries all last season, so they were not performing to the best of their abilities. Now, with Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns on the roster, they will be looking to set a Knicks franchise record.

The most wins the team has ever finished with was 60 back in the 1992-93 season, and they could be in a great position to hit that mark, or even surpass it.
