Kirk Cousins' Wife Catches Attention for Falcons Post

Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons (2-2) take on the division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 5.

Through four games, the 36-year-old Pro Bowl quarterback — who had a noticeably slow start in Week 1 —  has been ramping up his mobility on the field after undergoing surgery in Nov. 2023 to repair his torn right Achilles.

Through four games, Cousins has completed 64.7% of his passes for 864 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions.

Off the field, Cousins' wife, Julie, captured some attention online this week for her most recent Instagram post, which she shared with her 61,000 followers.

It was only her third IG post referencing the Falcons since her husband signed a four-year, $180 million free agent contract with Atlanta in March.

On Tuesday, Julie Cousins shared three photos from the team's Week 4 win over the New Orleans Saints at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The family used the occasion to celebrate their seven-year-old son Cooper's birthday, which included an appearance by the team mascot, Freddie Falcon.

"Cooper turned 7 on Sunday!!!" Julie Cousins wrote. "We celebrated with our first @atlantafalcons home win, got on the jumbo tron, hugged @freddie.falcon, and just had a blast! We are so thankful for this dude!"

Among the comments was one from Caitlin Thielen, the wife of Kirk Cousins' former Minnesota Vikings teammate and friend Adam Thielen.

"He looks so big 😭 Happy birthday to sweet Cooper!!🎉" Thielen wrote.

The post was a rare one for Julie Cousins, who keeps a pretty low profile and has only posted on her Instagram eight times so far in 2024.

In addition to Cooper, Kirk and Julie Cousins also share a second son , five-year-old Turner.
