The three Big Ten teams to make the College Football Playoff are the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans. Ohio State and Michigan have national titles in the playoff era, with the Buckeyes winning in 2014 and the Wolverines in 2023.

Michigan faced the Washington Huskies for the national title last season and won 34-13. Now that the USC Trojans, UCLA Bruins, Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks are in the Big Ten, fans can witness unorthodox college football matchups.

A national championship rematch between the Huskies and Wolverines is set to take place on Oct. 5. On a recent episode of " Always College Football ," Greg McElroy predicted a Michigan win because he believed the Wolverines had the more dynamic quarterback.

“I’m taking Michigan,” McElroy said. “Now here’s the problem with that pick, Vegas’s line doesn’t make sense. It just flat-out doesn’t make sense. How on Earth, based on what we saw nine months ago, and how Michigan was able to handle their business in the trenches – I know both teams are different, but I think the more physical team is still Michigan. I think they have a more dynamic quarterback."

Michigan leads the all-time series 9-5 and is on a three-game winning streak against Washington.

It will be a battle of first-year head coaches, with Sherrone Moore leading the Wolverines and former Arizona Wildcats head coach Jedd Fisch leading the Huskies.

Kickoff from Husky Stadium is at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
