Amari Cooper's Comment on Browns RB Nick Chubb is Turning Heads

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper was caught off guard when asked if he'd "throw up the bat signal" to announce Nick Chubb's return to practice.

Chubb, a noted Batman fan , returned to practice on Wednesday after more than a year away following a significant knee injury in Week 2 of last season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns now have a 21-day window to activate Chubb and add him to the 53-man roster.

Chubb frequently shares photos featuring imagery of the Dark Knight. When asked about signaling his teammate's return with the iconic "bat signal," Cooper admitted he's unfamiliar with comic book lingo.

"I don't think I've ever seen the movie," Cooper said . "I'm not sure how to answer that one."

Cooper may not be the most vocal wide receiver in the league, but his understated reaction sparked a strong response from Browns fans.

"Andrew Berry offered to trade Amari Cooper and he feels a type of way about it," one fan said . "His time in the Land should be nearing its end."

Cooper has been mentioned as a potential trade chip for the Browns and was featured in the package Cleveland offered to the San Francisco 49ers for Brandon Aiyuk before the season.

Cooper has just 16 catches for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season. The majority of that production came during a Week 3 loss to the Giants, with Cooper catching seven passes for 86 yards and two scores in that game.

"The dude is so done with being here. Such a damn shame to see him behave just like he did on his way out of Oakland and Dallas," another fan said .

Another simply noted : "Who hasn’t seen Batman?"

Batman references aside, Cooper spoke about what it means to have Chubb back in the mix.

"Huge emotional boost," Cooper said . "I'm excited for that."

Cooper and the Browns will look to get on track this week against the Washington Commanders after a 1-3 start. Chubb's status for the contest is uncertain.

How is this worthy of the Drama laced headline and article? So what if he has never watched Batman! It's a huge stretch to think that implies something about Nick Chubb! Maybe he is just trying to give a vague answer to something that he knows nothing about, and doesn't concern him! SMDH!
