Patriots Reporter Drops Troubling Claim About Locker Room Turmoil

Things are not looking so good at the moment in Foxborough. The New England Patriots, after scoring a 16-10 upset win on the road over the Cincinnati Bengals, have since seen the wheels fall off. They are now on a three-game losing skid after getting blown out in Santa Clara by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4.

It appears that the situation, even off the field, is getting worse for the Pats, with New England reporter Evan Lazar saying that there is turbulence in the team’s locker room.

"Right now they're teetering on a mutiny in that locker room,” Lazar said during an episode of “Catch-22,” which is also the Patriots’ official podcast.

“I don't want to be alarmist or hyperbolic. But I was in that locker room after the game on Sunday. The defense is mad at the defense. The offense is mad at the offense. You've got young receivers who are literally throwing tantrums on film."

With the losses piling up and neither the offense nor the defense is doing well, it's not hard to imagine why there are many frustrated individuals over the side of the Patriots.

The Patriots are second-worst in the NFL, with just 13.0 points per game. Their defense is not doing great either, as the Pats are allowing 21.8 points per game. If you take out Week 1's numbers, the Patriots have given up an average of 25.6 points.

It is not too late for New England to right the ship. The Patriots can start doing that this coming Sunday when they host the struggling Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium.
