As the Pittsburgh Steelers gear up for their highly anticipated Sunday Night Football showdown against the Dallas Cowboys, injuries are beginning to shape the narrative.

The Steelers are looking to maintain momentum, but they have a number of key players on the injury report. Quarterback Russell Wilson, who was limited in practice on Thursday due to a calf injury, remains optimistic about his progress.

"It's been good. I feel great," Wilson said , regarding his practice participation this week. "I've definitely been able to hop into the team drills and get more plays."

The Steelers' injuries don't stop there. Linebackers Alex Highsmith (groin) did not practice, and Nick Herbig (ankle) was limited. Running back Jaylen Warren (knee) also did not participate. On the brighter side , defensive tackle Cameron Heyward was given his typical rest day but is expected to play.

Pittsburgh Steelers Injury Report (Oct. 3):

    • QB Russell Wilson (Calf) – Limited
    • RB Jaylen Warren (Knee) – DNP
    • LB Jeremiah Moon (Ankle) – Full
    • LB Nick Herbig (Ankle) – Limited
    • LB Alex Highsmith (Groin) – DNP
    • G Isaac Seumalo (Pectoral) – Full

    • DL Keeanu Benton (Ankle) – Full
    • DT Cameron Heyward (Rest) – DNP

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are facing their own injury woes. Star edge rusher Micah Parsons (ankle) did not practice, cornerback Trevon Diggs (ankle) was limited in practice, and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence has been moved to injured reserve. Dallas will be hoping its key defensive players can suit up as they prepare for a tough matchup against Pittsburgh’s physical offense.

However, Parsons is highly unlikely to take the field, putting more on the plate of rookie edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland.
