The San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama's insane length and skills make him a truly unique basketball player. So much so that even veterans of the game are consistently surprised by Wemby's talents.

Take, for example, Chris Paul. The legendary point guard joined the Spurs in the offseason, teaming up with the 7-foot-4 big man. Many have predicted that Paul would help Wembanyama reach new heights.

During media day, Paul talked about a play in practice where Wemby hit a ridiculous shot.

"It's wild to see the talent, especially Vic with his ball-handling," Paul said, per Josh Paredes . "He hit a running one-legged three today. I just remember looking up and saying, 'Holy s***.'"

Wembanyama had himself an incredible debut campaign during the 2023-24 season. The Spurs rookie averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 assists and 3.9 assists last season. Incredibly, Wemby also averaged a league-high 3.6 blocks per game, a testament to his impact on defense.

Wembanyama has also been a highlight magnet early in his NBA career. Due to his unusual build, the Spurs star has done some truly incredible things.

The Spurs are hoping that Paul, a 19-year veteran, will help take Wembanyama to the next level. A common criticism of the Spurs last season was their apparent inability to get Wembanyama the ball in the best possible spots. With Paul now running the offense, the hope is that Wembanyama takes yet another leap.
